It's been a while since I posted stats for Nathan... and since this is about all he has baby book wise, I should get something down so when I finally get around to writing in that baby book, I'll know something to write!
Nathan had his 1 year doctor's appoint this past week. He's 13 months old and...
* 31.7 lb
* 33.25 inches tall
* In the 99.7% for weight
* In the 99.2% for height
* In the 67% for head circumference
He's been doing well for the last month, eating just 3 meals a day with one afternoon snack and two 8oz bottles - one at nap time and one at bedtime. He still won't take milk from a sippy cup, but we're going to start working seriously on that next week.
He is still sleeping pretty well. Most of the time he sleeps through the night. But lately he's been waking at 5am. I'm trying to learn to ignore it and let him go back to sleep. But sometimes those "what ifs" (what if he's soaked, what if he pooped, what if his foot is caught, etc) make me have to go check on him. In the new house I hear him cry much easier than the old house, too.
He's a great napper - thank goodness!!! He sleeps almost exactly 3 hours every afternoon around 1pm for me. If only I didn't have so much to do and could join him in slumberland for some of that time.
He's still Mr. Manipulative. We try so hard not to laugh when he throws his head down on the floor - between his legs - and pouts because we said "no." But then he stops for a second, tilts his head slightly up, peaks through one eye to see if you're paying attention to him or about to help before going back into the cry when he sees his tantrum hasn't yet gotten the results he wants.
His current favorites??? Cantaloupe, mango, ground beef, the floss container, pushing any object across the floor as though it's a car (while making noises), trying to eat the cat food, playing in water, making silly noises to get people to laugh, and saying "uh oh" when he purposely drops things from the couch or high chair.
He's a mess. But he's our wonderful, loveable mess!
