Weekend at Smith Mountain Lake

This past weekend we headed to Smith Mountain Lake in Virginia to hang out at my Aunt & Uncle's vacation home, and meet up with Uncle Dave (in from Arizona), Gramma & Grampa and our friends from MD. We went last year at the end of the summer, too. Nathan was so tiny then. It is hard to believe it's been a year! Click HERE for pics from last year's trip. Below are some pictures and videos from this past weekend:

Nathan loved the lake water on Saturday! He floated and played for a couple hours!

He played with Mommy, too.

And played with Gramma & Aunt Helen, too!

And he LOVED splashing!

Jacob rode the Jet Ski

And rode behind it, too!

Uncle Dave and our friend, Tim, took the kayak out... and worried about how low they were sitting...

Turns out they had good reason to worry! Oops!

Jacob jumped off the top of the dock.

So did Uncle Dave.

Then Sunday, Nathan sported a life jacket and went for his first kayak ride with his Mommy & Daddy

All the water and sun must have gotten the best of him, he fell asleep on our ride!

Daddy tried to get the life jacket off our sleeping baby without waking him.

Then Mommy got to snuggle with him for a while while he napped.

When he woke, he was ready to play with Uncle Dave!

Who was kind enough to share some cheetos with his nephew.

And even taught him how to drink through a straw.

When we weren't in the water, Nathan would snuggle with his daddy.

Or with his Uncle Dave.

And even spent hours snuggling with Grampa!

Then he showed us how he has mastered stairs - it was only his second time on stairs!!

And he rode the lazy susan as Grampa pushed.

We all enjoyed hanging out with our friends from Maryland.

And Nathan enjoyed seeing his friend, too! Would you believe there's a 7 month difference?? Nathan is YOUNGER. I think his friend got a little confused at times when we refered to the "baby" who was much bigger than he was.

Nathan got some snuggle time in with Aunt Helen, too.

And was just downright as cute as could be all weekend!

Last year... Nathan was 9 weeks old...

A year later... he's grown a bit!

Time for some videos!

This video is of Grampa spinning Nathan on the lazy susan. Listen for the laughter at the end... that's his daddy. Such sympathy :)

Here's Daddy being drug by the tube! Listen for signs of sympathy for him this time... you'll hear none, again :)

Jacob gives it another try!

Loved the lazy susan. Granny had one and it brought back great memories!
