Needing Prayers!

We put an offer on a house Monday. It's a foreclosure and we were told the bank would take no more than 72 hours to respond. We'll see if that holds true... but more importantly we've also been told that there are now several other offers on this perfect house!!! We REALLY REALLY want it. Please pray with us!!! I want God's will and I've been praying every moment for the last few days that this might be His will for us and that He'll give me the patience to wait whether it is or isn't.

If you know our story, you know we've been looking on and off, as we feel God may be leading, for about 15 months now. We've put offers on, or tried to put offers on 4 different houses before this week. Each one has fallen through for unusual reasons... computer glitch, unethical sellers agent, sellers decided not to move (only to relist about 6 months later!), and sellers who wouldn't budge on price - despite their agent warning them they were asking more than their house was worth only to sell a few months later for almost half our offer! Needless to say, it's been discouraging to lose house after house for odd reasons. We've taken it as God saying "not now" but feel He's ready for us to buy now. And I really can't imagine losing a 5th house.

So what's this house like? It's a 3bd, 1 1/2 bath rancher with an almost finished basement that, when finished would add another bedroom & full bath. It's on about 1/2 acre in a quiet Spartanburg neighborhood. It has everything we want and a beyond perfect price... wow... we can actually afford it! It really is the perfect house - even though most of the interior is still stuck in the 60's ;-)

UPDATE: We've been asked to put in a "highest & best" offer since there are so many offers. That will happen Monday morning. So hopefully, by mid-week, we'll have an answer. Maybe Nathan will get a really really big 1st brithday present ;-)
