Another month has FLOWN by being a mom. Wow. I can't believe Nathan will be 11 months old tomorrow... that means he is almost a year old already! So much in life has changed... and wow have I learned a lot... such as...
* There is no coorelation between exhausted parents who are fighting sleep and their children. In fact, the child may not even be phased by the sandman's attempts at their sleepiness.
* Be careful what you teach your child. If you teach him to dance when Mexican music is on, be ready for him to start bobbing and bouncing to the music that plays during the brief not-so-great-night-club-scene that plays during a TV crime show... Not the kind of music we want our son dancing too... or listening too... but we were laughing so hard we couldn't change the channel!
* Speaking of TV... you know you're a mom when you're flipping through the channels during your son's nap, in hopes of finding something worth watching so you can relax for a bit. And your interest is peaked because Curious George is on! Then you realize your child is not there, it's OK to watch something more adult-friendly!
* Anything is a playground in the eyes of a child. Living rooms... church hallways... toilets... tubs... piles of fresh cat vomit...
* Anything is a snack in the eyes of a child. Cereal... coins... food dropped while cooking... piles of fresh cat vomit...
* It's been almost 11 months since I became a mom and I can truly say it gets better everyday. In fact I love it so much recently that I wonder if I'm only just now really fully loving being a mom. But I think that it just keeps getting better with time.
I'm having issues with Mr. Linky... but don't let that stop you from writing your own Lessons post to share!
