Week's Wrap-Up

It's been over a week since I last posted to the blog... so I figured I'd share what we've been up to this past week:

Gramma & Grampa came to visit for the weekend. Grampa & Jacob took Nathan to the Greenville Car Show. I still need to snag the photos Jacob took and post those :) When they weren't looking at cars, Grampa was cuddling with Faith - or rather... napping with her :)

I love the look in Faith's eyes on this one... like she's saying "please, no more naps!" or "let me outta here, he's snoring again!" hehe Faith loves cuddling with her Grampa though!

When Gramma & Grampa left... and Jacob headed back to work... it made for a pretty bad Monday. Nathan was constantly, and deliberately, doing the exact opposite of what I'd ask of him. So he learned what it meant to sit in the corner. And he didn't like it! But he kept doing anything he could to go back! Thankfully the rest of the week has been a million times better than Monday!

With coupon classes and a SS party all to soon come to the house, it was a great excuse to get some more little things done around the house. Like hang curtains - finally - yay!! Nathan was a big helper to daddy, too! Eventually I'll get around to posting pics on the work we've done in the house since my last post back in September. There's still a ton to do. But I think it'll forever be like that.

Nathan is learning his body parts pretty well. With every well-baby visit, the nurse asks me how many body parts he knows. And each time I have to tell her I have no clue. He loves to learn and play games, except the body-part game! But finally he's learning, and enjoys pointing to (or poking) his sister's parts!

And he still loves to hug her, kiss her and tries to hold her.

And he's still a veggie boy! Last week, it was green beans for dessert. The other night, it was corn. For dessert. And Tuesday, he had spinach for lunch. Hopefully his love of veggies will continue! Maybe he'll even start to love broccoli.

Faith is doing great. I weighed her last week, 12.5 lbs. She's become a pro at head control and is rolling over from her belly to her back and smiling and cooing most of the day away. It seems like she's grown so much in just the last week. Still not sleeping through the night... but I guess 5-6.5 hours is better than nothing! But most exciting - her thrush is FINALLY gone! YAY!

And Nathan's newest favorite?? Mardi Gras beads. They came in a packet I won online, full of DiGiorno pizza coupons and goodies. I tossed most of the necklaces out, but left 3 for him to play with. He wears them all day long. This morning, right after breakfast, he went straight to the box they were in to put them on. And he hasn't taken them off yet. Thankfully he doesn't throw a temper tantrum when I won't let him sleep with them on.

That DiGiorno packet came with a bunch for $4/1 coupons and FREE pizza coupons. So I'm giving some away as a way to draw attention to our new blog - http://savinginspartanburg.blogspot.com/. Head on over there, you'll see a link to the giveaway at the top (the giveaway ends Saturday night). Check out the blog while you're there. There's lessons on couponing and links to tons of deals - many of which you don't have to be in Spartanburg to snag! It's a great outlet for me, a way to encourage friends to save big, and hopefully will be a method to help raise some money for our mission trip this summer.
