If you've been following my fb updates, this is old news. But I wanted to let everyone know the latest on Grason. And thank you, again, for praying!
11am - Grason went into surgery
1pm - the nurse came out to talk to the family and share with them that the problem was more severe than originally thought. There were two tears, the major one was large enough that brain matter was coming through. They weren't sure whether the tears could be repaired and warned them that Grason could possibly have a permanent drain put into his skull.
4:30 - the main part of the surgery was over and the doctors were able to do the necessary repairs (Praise God!). He was still in surgery, we were told "they are putting him back together again."
7:15 he was moved to ICU. Jason and DeAnn (parents) were with him. Grason will be in ICU for several days. He is bandaged and heavily sedated. No one can stay in the room with him. Two visitors at a time are allowed in for about 10 minutes every few hours. His parents have a hotel room close by to the hospital and, hopefully, Grandma, DeAnn, Jason and baby Felicity can get some much needed sleep.
Right now, its just wait and see how the healing goes. If all goes well, Grason should be able to be moved to a private room by the weekend. Please continue to pray for this little one and his parents. This has been such an awful journey for them, but they know that our God is awesome and that He has been right by there side every step of the way. They feel our prayers and DeAnn shared that they couldn't have made it this far without them.
Thank you all for praying!
