Here's a little about what Faith is like now that she's 10 months old:
* She's still 30 inches tall
* She's 24 pounds
* She's wearing size 18 months now, and size 4 shoes. Although some of her 12 month clothes still fit her - and I'm trying to squeeze out every day she has left in them. Partly because it's hard to see her grow so fast 0 but mostly because her 18month wardrobe is much more limited, it's nice not to have to laundry too often, yet ;-)
* She still has just two teeth, although she seems to have been teething a lot recently.
* She has the most wonderful laugh - and it's so infectious.
* Her hair is getting longer, so quickly. And it's got curls in the back.
* Her eyes still have not changed much at all in color. Most days they are greyish-blue. Depending on the light, sometimes they're more brown.
* She's crawling like crazy and standing well on her own more and more - sometimes for more than a couple seconds at a time. She loves to try to walk, with one hand held, or push Nathan's dump truck around the house (when he'll share it). I expect we'll have another walker in the house by this time next month. We'll see!
* She continues to eat well, still just 7 oz bottles 5-6 times a day. And she enjoys all the homemade baby food now. She eats homemade baby food or table food twice a day. Along with some kind of a snack in the morning. She has tried more foods at this age than Nathan ever did - mostly thanks to Nathan. He is often too eager to share. She's had, and loves, cheerios, cheezits, vanilla wafers, teddy grahams (non-honey one), popcorn (pieces without Kernels), french toast, garlic bread, spaghetti, and all kinds of fruits & veggies.
* Faith is getting more verbal, too. "Dada" is now part of her vocabularly. Although she much prefers "Mama". She's definitely a mommy's girl, too. Which is nice for me - since Nathan has always been more excited to see his Daddy than me (though he still likes seeing me). But Faith isn't just excited to see me, she wants to be near me every moment she's awake and we're in the house together. She chases me and follows me through the house and often loves to cling to me - though she's no cuddle-bug, unless she's tired. She's Mommy's precious girl!
* What are some of Faith's favorite things?? Well, she wore out her "Mwa, Mwa, I love you" doll baby. We need to get batteries for it... Now she's on to her "Hehe hehe he he he he" doll baby. It makes both her and her brother laugh along with it! She also loves whatever her bother has. She just wants to be like him and do what he can do - which annoys him sometimes, rightfully so. Faith loves books, walking Nathan's dump truck, pulling all the DVDs off the shelf multiple times a day, toys or objects that make noise when you shake them, and anything she can put in her mouth to chew. One of her favorite pasttimes would have to be getting up on the couch (with assistance), and trying to climb over her mommy to grab whatever is on the end table... usually a glass of water and the lamp. And then resorting to pulling Mommy's hair when she can't reach the glass of water. Like she's doing as I type this... right now. lol
We are so blessed with two wonderful children. And Faith makes me smile a million times a day - she's a joy, a blessing, and a reminder of God's love for us, daily. Happy 10 months, baby Faith!
