Saturday morning I woke up to Nathan coming in our bedroom. Jacob was in the bathroom; and I was in denial that it was morning. When Nathan grabbed my hand - hoping I'd pull him into bed with me.
I did.
And then I looked at him.
His face was covered with chocolate crumbs. And in his hands were 1 1/2 cookies - the cookies we'd baked the day before, and put in a tupperware container on the back of the counter.
Jacob laughed as he left our bedroom. The tupperware container was now on the table - the lid still on the counter. Our little cookie monster knew right where to find it!
But then we noticed Faith's door was open. And she was happily singing in her crib. We went in. And there she was... sitting with her legs hanging out between the bars, with a giant smile on her face! Her chocolate covered face! Sitting on her chocolate smeared sheets!
What a wonderful big brother she has - he shared his cookie finds! How can you get mad at a kid for stealing cookies when he was kind enough to share? :)
Needless to say, neither child ate any breakfast. Who knows how many cookies they ate.
Guess this balances out the fact that last night they each thought their 3rd helping of green beans was dessert!
