Wow... my baby is 8 months old today!!! I know I say it every month... but seriously, where does the time go?
According to our home scale, he's 25lbs. That's 2 1/2 lbs more than last month. Why did I have in my head that he was 25lbs last month?!?!?! Darn mommy brain strikes again! Well, now he really is 25lbs! And his thighs look it!
And he's just shy of 30 inches long! So he grew almost 2/3 inch in the past month.
He has 4 teeth now - front two and bottom two. He has two more top incisors that look ready to start coming in, too. There's a big gap between his front two teeth, too. Is it bad that I worry he'll look like a buck-toothed-hillbilly-baby when they are fully in?
He still isn't crawling or pulling himself up and has no interest in the idea. But he's getting great at standing and balancing himself for longer periods of time and with less and less support. I'm pretty confident he will go straight to walking in the next month or two. We're doomed.
Although he still cant quite hold his own bottle to feed himself, he still loves his bottle and all things food. We haven't really added anything to his diet... except cantalope. You should ask Jacob about the day last week when he pulled cantalope out of the freezer instead of carrots and made Nathan cantalope & peas for lunch. Yum. I need to make time to start getting him some simple finger foods this month, too.
And his favorites include... the remote control, his bottle, paper, taking his socks off to chew on, and his daddy!
And Happy 1st Anniversary
