This little meme is catching on! Stacy beat me to it today!! I enjoy reading other mom's lessons and funny stories - it's a fun game, join us :)
Here's my lessons from mommyhood from the past few weeks:
* Mommyhood sure has it's unexpected surprises! Like getting 8 hours of sleep straight one night - out of the blue. Or finding a pureed pea glob on your pants, when you've not been around a baby in hours. Or finding out that there's another baby coming, when your first is just barely 7 months old!
* God really wired men differently. Even as early as 7 months, Nathan LOVES the remote control. He is in awe of power tools, is fixated on trains, and is a dare devil in his doorway jumper.
* Mom is not nearly as memorable as a toy. I know... so sad :( Nathan's reaching the object permanence stage - but only in some areas. I can leave him and he'll cry, until he can't see me anymore. Then he forgets about me. But other things he clearly remembers, without seeing them. His favorite: the tags on the changing pad Tracy H gave us before he was born. I got lazy and stopped covering it... its easier to wipe clean then launder. So the tags are right there screaming to be played with. It's all I can do most days to keep him on his back so I can change his diaper. All he wants to do is play with those tags - even before they ever reach his line of sight - he just knows they are there. I wonder when Mom & Dad will get as much priority in his memory as those paper tags :)

If you have a blog, now it's your turn! Here's how to play along with me:
1. Grab the code below (highlight & copy it) and paste it in your blog. Feel free to make a comment about my blog, too :-)
2. Under the code you pasted, type in something(s) Mommyhood has recently taught you. It can be serious, silly, spiritual, insightful, embarassing, etc. It can be one thing or a dozen - its all up to you.
3. Come back here when you've published your entry. Enter your name and blog address in Mr. Linky (at the bottom of this post) to link back to your blog so everyone can read your mommyhood lessons. We'll all get to nod in agreement, laugh because we relate or squirm because we know our time will come for that, too :)
I can't wait to read what you share!

Hope we get to see some snow pics on everyones blog tomorrow:)
I hope my thoughts were helpful. This really made me think...I feel like I should have 6 1/2 years of wisdom to impart but I am still learning like everyone else.
