It's been a week since we shared the news of our growing family. The excitement you all have shared with us has made us more excited and eager for October. In fact I can think of many reasons this pregnancy is a blessing...
There's the swollen hands & feet... inability to sleep... waking to pee five times a night... heart burn... excessive ear wax (TMI??)... and that whole labor/pain issue...
OK not everything about pregnancy is bad. There really are a lot of blessings to look forward to!
* I'm already use to not getting a solid night's sleep... (This morning Nathan decided 5:30am was play time. Its almost 7 and he's still going strong.) So I don't have to be teased with a few months of sleep only to be thrust back into the world of 12, 2, 4, and 6 am feedings.
* I have a great excuse to have that nightly bowl of Ben & Jerry's ice cream! Except right now... it just doesn't sound all that great... But chocolate cake sure does!! :) Hmmm... will it be a girl?? With Nathan sweets were not appealing at all for the first 4 or 5 months. Hmm....
* My hair will get thicker again - no more post-pardum shedding... at least for a while.
* I can frighten friends (again) with the border-line psychotic dreams I'll have.
* I have an even better excuse for my mommy-brain. Although... that mommy-brain will probably also get worse...
* I'll get foot rubs more easily from my wonderful hubby - hopefully :)
* I no longer have to clean the kitty litter! Oh... wait... I rarely ever do! Did I mention my husband was wonderful?!?!
* And last, but certainly not least, as scary and stressful it is to have another baby this soon... I get to be used of God as He performs a miracle literally in me. That's just beyond amazing!
