I LOVE Publix

They are soooo nice there! They'll unload your cart while your baby is fussy, its policy for them to take your cart to your car & load it up, they don't mind (too much) when your baby knocks off a glass jar of mushrooms and you don't hear "clean-up, aisle 4" hehe. Publix is clean. And the manager is very very visible everytime I'm there. And they have a Upromise card for college savings!

Best yet... its sooooo easy to save BIG at Club Pub!

I know, I was just there 4 days ago... but it's a different week of specials now. Publix runs specials Wednesday-Tuesday. And I learned they run out of some of the good sales fast. So I returned today and stocked up on pasta, canned veggies and some quick meals:

How much?? $121.47
But you know I didn't pay that!
I paid just $25.11!!
That's a 80% savings!!
Woo hoo!

I don't have the time to type all the items/coupons in tonight. But I'll share the best deals with you so you can go get them, too! If you want other specifics, email me or check out Fiddledeedee, The Centsible Sawyer or Southern Savers for even more deals from Publix.

$5 off purchase of $20 or more
CLICK HERE for the free coupon
Its from Rite Aid. But Publix accepts competitor coupons!
The manager even checked it out and agreed to take it without question!
THIS COUPON EXPIRES TOMORROW, SATURDAY 2/28!

$5 off purchase of 20 specific items
CLICK HERE for the free coupon
It's a publix coupon, so you can stack it with manufacturers coupon, too!
You have to purchase 20 of specific items listed
Progresso soup & broths, Green Giant veggies (can or frozen) & pillsbury are all some that count. Want to make the absolute most of that $5 off coupon? Use this next one...

$1 off Any Muir Glen Product
CLICK HERE for the free coupon
These are found by the produce aisle, in the natural foods section
The sauce is $.89. So Publix will pay you $.11 to buy it.
Technically, you could probably buy 20 of them, use 20 Muir Glen coupons for $1/1 AND the -$5 publix coupon above. Then you could donate them to a local food pantry, pocketing the $7.20 that went towards other items in your cart! I didn't try that route. But it should work! I took advantage of the B1G1 Green Giant canned veggies and other coupons for pillsbury stuff instead. I DID use some Muir Glen to get me to 20 items for a second batch of 20 items and then used the -$5 twice - doing it in two transactions.

$1 off Any Voila Frozen Meal
CLICK HERE for the free coupon
Its B1G1 at Publix through Tuesday.
That makes it $1.50 each!

and one last one...

$.55 off 2 Muller Pastas
CLICK HERE for the free coupon
Muller's Pastas are B1G1, which makes them $.37 a box after the coupon

Now its your turn! Go save some money! Stock your pantry with veggies, pasta & sauce. And join me in seeing if we can get through March with less than $100 in grocery bills!

New to Publix (like me!)? Here are the rules to Publix couponing:
* They double manufacturer coupons $.50 or under
* You can use 2 coupons when you take advantage of a B1G1 deal. Yes, that means you can use a coupon on a free item!
* On B1G1 deals, you don't have to buy 2... you can buy one at half price
* They accept all competitors coupons - including drug stores (as long as the coupon is not for prescriptions).
* They tend to only take one Food Lion coupon per transaction
* They do allow coupon stacking - use a manufacturer AND store or competitor coupon for one item
* You can use mulitple identical coupons as long as you buy the same number of items for that coupon and the coupon doesn't state one per person.
* If Publix is out of a sale item, they'll let you subsitute a similar item for the same cost. Or they'll give you a raincheck. If you were planning to use coupons on that sale item, grab an employee - they're always easy to find! - they'll get you a raincheck to use another time with your coupons and still get the same great sale price.
* The registers are sometimes programmed to not accept more coupons than you have items. So if your stacking coupons, the manager has to approve. Thats not a problem at all! They don't ask questions, they just smile :) You might even get a "way to go!" or "I wish I could shop like that!"
* The registers also are often programmed to need manager approval when a coupon is worth more than the cost of the item. Again, not a biggie. The manager approves without a problem. And the money earned goes toward your other purchases.
* If an item rings up for the wrong amount, you get it FREE! So watch your receipts!
* Want to get Upromise credit? Ask for a Upromise swipe card and register it to your Upromise account online.

All hail the queen of coupon. Hey, the last time we went in publix though the lady at the cash register said to my crying Emily, "Weren't you crying the last time you were here?" oops!
