It is pretty common knowledge that I can be a disaster in the kitchen. I have a terrible habit of lifting the mixer before turning it off... I am convinced the smoke detector is way too sensitive (and its not in the kitchen!)... there was
that little grill incident that brought the fire department to my house... and
the time I learned that cool sauce + hot glass pan = explosion... and I guess I should mention the time I set a pot holder on fire... (no, those things are not 100% fire proof. A skilled
professional disaster in the kitchen can set one on fire!)
Well, I can now add this to my ever growing list...
I made eggs for breakfast and put the hot pan in the sink. Later I mindlessly put it in the dishwasher. I unload the dishwasher and find this:

The drain stopper is melted to the pan. And I mean, its
melted on there good! It won't budge! I may be investing in a new cheap little skillet.... and drain stopper... unless Jacob has a power tool suited for this type of thing :)
I thought you might enjoy laughing at with me. :)

LOL I thought I had problems in the kitchen!
Perhaps you should think of writing a book.... "Kitchen Tales from Mrs. Disaster Herself" :-)
Don't forget Senior week in ocean city when it was your turn to make food. What was it pancakes or something and the sink managed to get stopped up and we had to have a plumber come in and no one knew when to flip the pancake. Or was it the macaroni and cheese getting burned to the bottom of the pan. Actually, I think one was you and one was me.
Don't worry Jacob. This is not special treatment just for you. This is really her.
Hey, don't feel bad. I was cooling Daniel's special Valentines dessert on the stove and accidentally turned the burner on under it. Yep, blew it up. :) Apple cobbler and glass tirade. Now I am not so sure you can keep your title!
Marie is a good cook, you must get your skills from your father!!! I've had the exploding pan in the oven, not a pretty picture. Fun Story! Kim, keep up the good work.
You should ask Donna Loudermilk or Robin Zimmerman about my kithen skills. Or should I say lack of?? Joye H
