Happy 7 Months!

Nathan is 7 months old today! 7 months sounds so much older than 6. Where did the last 7 months go!?!?! Here's an update on my 7 month old :)

* Nathan now weighs 22.5 lb. (according to our home scale) That's actually less than his 6 month weigh-in at the doctors. So I'm guessing our scale is a little off and he hasn't gained much weight in the last month. That means he's slowing down!

* He is 29 1/3 inches long. He was 29 1/4 last month. So he's not grown much at all, which is OK!

* Although he's still not crawling, he gets closer everyday. He can spin himself around and "croll"

* He is a virtual pro at sitting up - he does so for 30 minutes or longer at a time, playing with a toy or just watching the kitties go by, as mom gets housework done.

* He's still a great eater, though he's been cutting back a bit lately. His favorites, aside from his bottle, include bananas, squash, peas & carrots, avacados and blueberries.

* He still has just two teeth, the bottom front two.

* He weaned himself from his pacifier a few weeks ago.

* He can still fit at least half of the clothes he's been wearing since November (size 12 month), but he also fits many of his 18 month clothes, too. His torso is so long that only 12 month old onsies still fit properly. Shirts aren't normally long enough.

* He's really great at recognizing his own name, his daddy & mommy's voices, and the words "daddy", "mommy" and "kitty."

* And aside from his normal coos and gaas, he's added the new "ka" sound to his vocabulary (I use that word lightly). He can be caught practicing "ka" frequently while enjoying jumping high in his jumper. We're just waiting for the heart-melting "da-da" & "ma-ma" to come out!
