In the last few weeks, Mommyhood has taught me:
* Even though I have a not-so-little-definitely-super-cute-but-slightly-demanding distraction, I still need to pay attention to the simple & mundane things in life... Otherwise I might end up washing half a week's worth of laundry in fabric softener instead of laundry detergent.... who knew we even had liquid fabric softener? Evidently one of Jacob's former roomates left it behind once-upon-a-time. Our clothes/towels/sheets, etc were sure soft! But not so clean.... at least I didn't make that mistake on diaper cleaning day!
* Carrots create orange poo. Peas make it green. And blueberries turn it a pretty shade of purple. (Can poo be pretty?) And why on earth are they called blueberries... shouldn't they be purpleberries?
* Jacob & I have both noticed that there's one time Nathan is happier than ever... 99% of the time he is a very happy baby. But when the three of us are hanging out on the sofa together... there's nothing that makes him happier! There's no distractions, its just the three of us. That speaks all the more, how important it is for kids to know their parents love each other and love them. Nathan truly thrives on that. And I want to thank my parents - and Jacob's parents - for giving the same to us when we were growing up!

If you have a blog, now it's your turn! Here's how to play along with me:
1. Grab the code below (highlight & copy it) and paste it in your blog. Feel free to make a comment about my blog, too :-)
2. Under the code you pasted, type in something(s) Mommyhood has recently taught you. It can be serious, silly, spiritual, insightful, embarassing, etc. It can be one thing or a dozen - its all up to you.
3. Come back here when you've published your entry. Enter your name and blog address in Mr. Linky (at the bottom of this post) to link back to your blog so everyone can read your mommyhood lessons. We'll all get to nod in agreement, laugh because we relate or squirm because we know our time will come for that, too :)
I can't wait to read what you share!
