Graham Cracker House

Yesterday the kids decorated a graham cracker house... no, I didn't bake gingerbread, or buy a kit. But I did get a microwave popcorn box and attach some graham crackers to it :) And it was just as much fun to decorate! Or, in the case of my kids... lick, steal candy from and drool over!

After a trip to the dollar store to stock up on candies, the kids were ready to eat!

I mean... decorate. Yeah, uh huh.  

They did pretty well sticking candies to the lines of frosting I'd make for them. 

And Faith did pretty good stealing candies when she thought no one was looking... lol 

And she enjoyed stealing finger tips full of frosting! 

And every now and then, Nathan got caught too.

Though, when he thought I saw him stealing candies, he'd pretend he wasn't eating it and stick it on the house instead. lol

We added the ice cream cone trees they decorated the other night.

They were (and still are) quite proud of their masterpiece!

And when Jacob got hom last night, he asked what was up with Faith - she was more hyper and silly than normal... maybe she has a slight sugar buzz... ;-)

  The house is still entact and smells yummy.

And every now and then, I can still catch the kids trying to stealing candies.

But for family coming to visit soon, I wouldn't highly recommend that you follow in the kids' footsteps. You don't know how many candies were licked before sticking on the house... Plus, I sorta kinda hot-glued the structure together.... Martha Stewart has zero competition from us :)
