Nathan is sleeping less and less. He much more active than he's ever been. This morning he woke up at his normal 3am for a feeding, and again at 6am. He stayed up a bit for Jacob after the 6am feeding (Jacob handles the 5am-7am shift, Kim gets the 10pm-5am & 7am-whenever Jacob gets home shift... hmm... not quite equal... ha ha). Nathan took a nap from 8-10am, but since then he's been up almost all day! Makes it hard to get anything done at all... Kim didn't even get a shower today... She learned she should have taken one this morning when she had the chance. But sleep, laundry & work were all calling louder than the shower.
Nathan finally fell asleep from 6-7:15pm, but he's been up since. Jacob gave him a bath this evening, and we're hoping that gets him calmed down and ready for bed soon. So far, its not working. But its only 10:30pm. When he does fall asleep, he should sleep well after being so alert all day. But the lack of naps has Kim really wondering if the idea of going back to work (tomorrow) is at all realistic... we'll find out I guess.
Saturday Nathan turned 1 month old - already! He's changed quite a bit, especially in his face (and wakefulness). He had a good day, but we didn't do anything all that special. Its hard to believe that we've been a family for a month already. Wow, time flies.
Sunday we went to church for the first time - real church, not just Jacob's SS class. It was Lily's, our Senior pastor's baby, first time too. She's just a day younger than Nathan. We all sat on the same back pew and that was the popular spot for people to stop by and oo & ahh at the babies. :) Sitting in service, it dawned on me that I'd forgotten to put on deoderant, and Jacob hadn't had time to shave. "We're parents... thats for sure!" I thought to myself, and laughed.
What's up for the week to come? Kim starts back to work on Tuesday. We're still figuring out how many hours and what kind of schedule that will entail - Nathan has the most say in that, but he keeps changing his schedule up. So we'll see. But with Awana & fall SS kick off just around the corner, work isn't optional right now - at least to help keep Stacey from drowning :)
This weekend we'll get ready to see Granny & Grandpa Wuenschel. They'll be in Monday & Tuesday of next week - we're ready to see them & so is Nathan! Other than that, nothing exciting. We'll keep taking some pics to post, but I think the week is going to be quite hectic so sorry in advance if we don't post much.
Here are some bathtime pics (not just from tonight). It really is a favorite activity for Nathan - he LOVES bath time - even when dad holds him in the tub water or when the shower head sprays on him. Maybe he's the next Michael Phelps??
