Saturday's disappear way too fast in our family... too many other committments. So it was really great to enjoy a true day off with Jacob & Nathan! We headed to Columbia, SC to visit the Riverbanks Zoo and then it was back to Greenville to walk along the Reedy River. Here are some pictures from our time at the zoo!
Nathan was introduced to the lizards.
And he immediately wanted to be friends!
He even wanted to be friends with the snarly toothed crocodile!
The jellyfish were cool!
And so were the Japanese Spider Crabs!
Nathan loved watching the penguin swim around.
And I think he taught this penguin how to wave his arms in the air. If you know Nathan well, you know he's ALWAYS waving his arms around like this. I tried to get a photo of the two of them doing it at the same time... didn't happen.
Of course we saw the lions and...
...baboons... (hey, the tigers were hiding!)
... and bears! Oh my!
There were tons of flamingos. Did you know there are more plastic flamingos in the US than real ones? Thanks to Jacob for the random fact.
The elephants were cool!
And we all loved watching the giraffes...
Especially the cute baby!
We hope your Memorial Day was relaxing and fun, too!

We love the Riverbanks Zoo!!! Well we like going to any zoo..lol. We are going to hit 3 zoos when we go on vacation next month Omaha,St Louis and one in South Dakota. It pays to get the membership:)
