Friday night we introduced Nathan to the "big boy bed." We were planning to get rid of his crib in the yard sale the next morning, and so it was perfect timing. We started Nathan off with just the twin size mattress, so he didn't have far to fall if he fell... or should I say when he fell.
Surprisingly, he did WONDERFUL with his new bed!! He loves it! The first couple nights, I had to lay down in it to convince him to come to bed. But ever since then, he's had no problem napping or sleeping through the night in it.
Saturday, in the week hours of the morning, I peaked in on him. He was curled up, on the floor, with his giant stuff cow - snoring away. I wanted to snap a photo - it was so cute! But I was afraid of waking him. And that has been the only night he hasn't slept in his bed.
In fact, he doesn't think he can get out of his bed without either Jacob or I there. In the morning, or after he wakes from his nap, we'll hear him playing in bed. But he's yet to get out and play around the room. We couldn't ask for a better "big boy bed" experience!!
When we get to Texas, we'll set up his full twin bed - his Daddy's old childhood bed. And we'll see how he does on a real bed - Im betting he'll love it!
