I Like to Move It, Move It!

So far, so good on our moving process - God is good and He's in all the details. And I know that He has amazing things in store for us in Texas - and great opportunities for Jacob's career, but the fact that we're moving still doesn't feel real to me. I said goodbye to lots of people already - but it didn't feel like "goodbye" forever... or even for a really long time. I must still be in denial.

Inspite of it not feeling real, we keep working through the plans to move. We had a huge moving sale Saturday. Filled the front yard with stuff that we got rid of. Now it's someone else's stuff :) And we made a pretty penny, too. We were happy - that was worth getting up at 4am for! Plus, we finally met lots of other neighbors we'd yet to meet... figures it'd be during our moving sale.

Now we're packing and doing last minute fixes to the house.

Tomorrow (Wednesday) morning, Jacob leaves for his 18 hour drive to San Antonio, with the van in tow. Leaving us vehicle-less for 36 hours.

Then Thursday the movers arrive to pack us, and later that day Gramma comes to help with the kids and provide transportation, too.

Friday the movers will load us up and head to TX. In the mean time, Jacob will be in Texas house hunting.

Saturday, I'll teach one last coupon class here in Spartanburg - my biggest so far, over 60 are already pre-registered! Then we'll join Gramma on a trip back to MD for the week.

Monday, the 24th, Jacob starts his first day of work.

Wednesday, hopefully our stuff will safely arrive at a house he has picked out for us.

Then on Sunday, May 30th, the kids and I fly from MD to Texas to join Jacob, see our new house and get aquainted with our new town, new life, new normal.

Finally, sometime in June, it'll all sink in for me. And I'll be thrust from my state of denial into our new reality. Hopefully I'll like it :) At least everything but the summer heat, that is!
