Easter Egg Drop

A local church held a "Easter Egg Drop" on Saturday. They set up a few bounce houses, and a few preschool games. And then a helicopter came and dropped hundreds of eggs for big kids to find. After the helicopter drop, they had an egg hunt for preschoolers, too. It was pretty fun and a good excuse to get out of the house.

The kids both loved the bounce house!
So much so that volunteers had to go in after Faith to get her to come out. haha!
I got a little video of the kids in the bounce house, I'll post that another day.

There were preschool games for the kids to play, too.
Like the ring toss.

And a water game - where the kids had to scoop up as many floating animals as they could

Soon it was time for the helicopter to come!
They dropped hundreds of eggs onto a hay-covered parking lot.
All the older kids went crazy scooping them up!
Nathan & Faith weren't real sure what to make of it though.

After all the big kids cleaned up the eggs, volunteers dropped some more eggs for 3 & 4 year olds to find. And then it was time for the 1 & 2 year olds. That was funny. The 1 & 2 year olds, of course, were the only group that didn't care about getting a basket full of eggs... just a few was fine for them. And why not open them up in the middle of the hunt?? haha  The church volunteers had a good time watching parents try to find eggs for their kids. hehe

Faith was content to sit in one spot the whole time.
And play with the eggs as Daddy encouraged her to pick them up.

Nathan was a little more active in picking the eggs up.
After all, this was his 4th or 5th Easter egg hunt in two years - he's a pro now. haha

Problem was... soon his basket was full!
What's a kid to do?? Oh, this kid knew just what to do!
He started emptying the eggs, putting the candy in his basket
and leaving the empty egg on the ground. haha! Smart kid!

And then there was Faith. She didn't care what was going on around her.
Or how many eggs Daddy put in her basket.
She just wanted to open and close the eggs, over and over and over again.

The kids left with a ton of candy.
Well... a ton or tootsie rolls! And a few gummy snacks, too.

And we left with two hot, tired and wore out kiddos!

Thanks to Hope Community Church for hosting a fun Easter Egg drop!

For those interested, here's a video of the helicopter dropping the eggs:
