MOPS Easter Egg Hunt

*** The other day I made two posts in one day - and the way it got emailed out, they were both in one email - so some people didn't see the "Hampster Dance" email if they were too weirded out by the fertility book post. So here's a link to the Hampster Dance video of the kids, in case you missed it. And below are more pics and stories from our MOPS Easter Egg Hunt ***

Last Wednesday we had a MOPS Easter Egg hunt at the church. We all met in a preschool classroom and read the Easter story. Then the little ones headed outside to the playground to find Easter eggs. Nathan knew what to do, but I wasn't sure Faith would... we failed to practice. But she LOVES carrying things around - like baskets - and loves putting things in whatever she's carrying. So I figured an Easter egg hunt is a natural fit for her. :)

And it was... for the first egg. LOL  Then she was done.
I encouraged her to keep going, and she eventually caught on to the game.

 Nathan loved the game too.

All the fallen leaves made perfect spots for those eggs to hide!

"Oooh, another one!"

The kids took a break to compare baskets... lol

And Mommy found the one and only "Golden Mommy Egg" -
the leader hid one egg for a mom to find... I didn't look for it. But I sure did stumble upon it! Inside was $2 to use at Sonic for a drink - or two. (Sonic is immediately across the street from the church.) Woo hoo me :)

After all the eggs had been found, the kids sat to compare notes again.
Too cute :)

Then we headed back inside to see what was in each egg.
Nathan devoured most of the chocolate before I could sneak some. lol
They also got stickers, plastic toys, play-doh and some costume jewlery (see the necklace Nathan's modeling... hehe).

It was a fun morning out to do something a little different!
