Happy 3rd Birthday, Nathan!

Today was Nathan's 3rd birthday - and it was one full day of fun!

We went to Lowes to get some more things for the house and ended up learning that there was a "I Build It" camp going on. I've known about these free Saturday workshops for kids, but always thought Nathan was too young. There were plenty of 3 (and younger) kids in there! So we joined the fun!

Nathan surprised us with how well he did using the hammer!
Guess all that practice with his tool box that Uncle Jr got him a few years ago has paid off :)

When the project was complete, Nathan had a brand new tow truck to play with - one he made himself. Well... with a little help from Daddy (and Mommy).

After Lowes, it was off to do a few more errands, then home to nap!
And after naps, it was time to go out for dinner - Nathan's favorite place, Cici's!
He gets so excited when we pull in the parking lot!

Even Faith loves it there - especially the chicken noodle soup!

Nathan prefers their pizza. And pasta. And Cinnamon rolls! Yum!

And all the kids love the arcade room!
By "all the kids" I'm including Jacob, too. hehe

Nathan even won a stuffed dolphin from the claw game!
He's got his momma's gift... or rather in this case, help ;-)

After dinner, it was home to Skype with Gramma & Grampa.
And open their gift that came in the mail today.

A recorded storybook from Gramma & Grampa - Yay!

After Skyping with Gramma & Grampa, it was well past bedtime... no time to open gifts from Mommy & Daddy, because they'd want to play with it. So we'll hold off and give it to Nathan at his birthday party next week. But how could we not do candles & cake? Well... uh birthday brownies??

Since we're having cake next week at his party, I made brownies for his actual birthday.
With choo-choo candles that Nathan loved!

If Nathan made a wish, I'll bet it was "for everyday to be like today."
He had a great day hanging out with his family and getting treated to lots of fun things. He's figured out how to say "three" when you ask him how old he is now. But he still holds up 5 fingers... lol Next weekend we get to celebrate all over again. We're having a party at our house - and you're invited. :)
