Visiting Great Aunt Helen

Tuesday morning the plan was to go swimming at Gramma's sister's house - the kids Great Aunt Helen. But the weather didn't cooperate. It was cool and rainy - two things we haven't seen in Texas much at all since February...

So instead of going swimming, we just came over to visit Great Aunt Helen and her granddaughter, Abby (the kids' second cousin and my cousin once removed - thanks again for the lesson a few years ago on the difference between the two, Uncle Carl!). Abby's big brother was in school but Abby was all the eager to share her toys and smiles with us!

Abby's brother and cousin have toy motorcycles at their grandmother's house. Nathan was hesitant to ride one at first. But he quickly warmed up.

And once he tried to ride one, he LOVED it!

Faith had no interest in riding the motocycle (good girl!)
But she did very much enjoy the ride-on truck!

And even more so, she enjoyed being pushed around the house by Abby!
(Who I think equally enjoyed pushing Faith)

When Nathan was done with the helmet, Abby tried it on her Great Aunt Marie.

That's a good look for you, Gramma!

Great Aunt Helen tried it on, too!

Than Nathan, the great tickler rode over and attacked.. hehe

Near the end of our visit we ATTEMPTED a group shot of the kids.

And got a few cute pics int he process

And lots and lots of silly (mostly blurry) photos, too

But, thanks to photoshop, we got one pic of all the kids smiling.
(I'm slowly learning to merge photos, I know it's not perfect, but I think it's pretty close)

After the sillies were out, it was time to head home for quick naps before our afternoon visit to see my old college roommate (I've scheduled photos from that to post tomorrow). Abby and Faith shared some love - how I wish it weren't blurry. And then we headed home.

Thanks for having us over for lunch & play, Great Aunt Helen and cousin Abby!
