For the sake of keeping grandparents informed and getting it written down for his baby book... (one day, I promise, I will start working on that...)... Here are a few things I bet you didn't know about Nathan:
1. Tooth #2 came in today! Right next to tooth #1, on the bottom.
2. He spits up, on average, 24-30 times a day. And about 20 of them hit me... Oddly, he rarely spits up solids. Except, it seems... on his Uncle Dave :)
3. He is a double sneezer, has been since his first sneeze many months ago. Sometimes he'll sneeze just once, but the vast majority are double sneezes.
4. He is still absolutely in love with the Praise Baby videos. He knows what the look like and as soon as the copyright warning comes on (it looks different than a normal FBI warning), his crying stops and he gets serioulsy excited! He knows whats coming.
5. He only takes a pacifer when its time to force him to bed or a nap and when he falls asleep, he spits it out. And he'll only take the Avent type of pacifer.
6. He sleeps 9-11 hours a night (with 2 interuptions of crying where he puts himself back to sleep, and one feeding at 5:30am). He eats every 3 hours. And he naps about 4 hours a day - one nap is 2 - 2 1/2 hours long. And he's like clockwork - he wakes up every morning at 7:45am, no matter when he went to bed.
7. He prefers to sleep on his side. That is, when he's laid in his crib and still awake enough to move around.
8. He can sit up unassisted for a good minute now.
9. The toenails on his big toes turn outward as they grow. Very odd. And his pinky toes look lost next to the rest - always have. They just do their own thing. Makes putting socks & shoes on extra tricky.
10. He loves dill pickles! We discovered this on Sunday at lunch. I've been meaning to get him a jar to share with his Daddy. It just may be a teething soother for him, I think. Not sure if its the cold or the taste.
11. His bowel movements are regular... every other day. One day of dark green peanut butter... a day off... a day with light brown cottage cheese... a day off... peanut butter... off... cottage cheese...off... you get the picture. :) They're usually around the mid-morning hours. And, for those who were concerned about sticky poo in cloth diapers, they really do just roll right off the fleece and into the toilet. Couldn't be easier or less of a mess. But its still stinky!
12. He's so going to kill me one day for this blog :-)
