Nathan's First SNOW

OK... so 1/8 of an inch doesn't quite fit my definition of snow. And for our northern & midwestern family & friends, you will all laugh when you see these pictures and hear school was cancelled today. But down here in the "frozen tundra" of the south - as I heard a news anchor call it this morning (& I about died laughing... "frozen tundra", eh?) Anyways, down here in South Carolina, this is some pretty serious snow. And snow, in-and-of-itself, is certainly worth getting excited for. Especially when life slows to a hault and theres time to enjoy it. So that's what we did this morning, I bundled Nathan up and out we went!

No, thats not an icicle hanging from his chin. Just drool.

Nathan was fascinated with the stuff! I couldn't get him to look at the camera and smile - he wanted to look all around him instead.

If you click to enlarge this one you can see his 1st tooth & self-made scratch marks from yesterday's scream-a-thon. Which apparently isn't totally over yet today.

Nathan's first snow angel. I didn't think you were suppose to see dirt or mud when you make a snow angel... only in SC!

This is what happens when you sit in snow in the south! Yes, did you notice? He's becoming a pro at sitting up for lengths of time by himself!

Another day. Another new experience. And now its naptime :)
