Faith will try to imitate almost every word you model to her. She seems to add 2-4 words to her vocabulary a day, and amazes me at some of the words she attempts - and succeeds at saying!
She's just started attempting full sentences., but most are not understandable. What was her first sentence?? "Yum, I want candy." lol Followed soon after by, "I wear a dress."
She does use lots of phrases that are more understandable than some of her sentences. What are her favorite things to say??
"a hug" and "a hand" are her favorite's at the moment. First thing in the morning, she wants "a hug" a lot... sometimes it means a hug, sometimes it means "hug me and pick me up." And sometimes it means, "hug me and don't let go for 3 hours." lol It's sweet, but occassionally annoying when she wants a hug while you're in the middle of doing something - and has an emotional breakdown when you don't stop right that second to give her a hug.
She also loves to ask for "a hand" when we go up the stairs, or cross the street - or, sometimes, just walk to the kitchen.
I know it's too early to know, but I'm betting she has "touch" as one of, if not her highest love language. It's sweet that my little girl - who during her first year of life never cared to cuddle much, loves to cuddle now. She's a very lovingly, talkative, smart little cookie! And hopefully her love to cuddle won't cause too much jealousy and acting out in 4 months when her baby sister arrives...
One of Faith's favorite activities is going through a book or magazine, and pointing out all the words she knows, and letting me teach her more. Here's a video for those that are interested... it's kinda long. But cute :)
