Tuesday of our vacation up north started out with some Daddy story time.
Then we head outside for the kids' first official horse back rides.
Well, Nathan has riden with Granny before - but never by himself.
He liked it... but was ready to be done after a couple circles around the yard.
Faith, on the other hand, had finally warmed up to the animals.
And she LOVED the horse back ride!
I mean, she ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT!
She didn't want to get off.
After their rides, Granny helped each child to feed the horse a carrot.
And then Nathan was fascinated with the ropes used to hold the horse in place in the barn, so Daddy tied the ropes to Nathan's belt loops. He stopped thinking they were so cool then.... lol He didn't like being tied up.
Granny tied Faith up to one rope, and she thought that was pretty cool
But tying Daddy up was much more fun!!!
Granny got the cart out and gave the kids a ride - wow!
And Daddy gave Granny a break :)
Then Faith got to feed the horses some more - she loved them!
While she fed the horses, Nathan drove Daddy's tractor.
And then we switched off - Nathan fed the horses...
...while Faith rode with Daddy on the tractor.
She loved the tractor, too.
Just not quiet as much as she loved the horses!
Soon Pa would get off work and we'd head out for more fun at the train museum and maybe even get some root beer floats. But you'll have to wait till tomorrow to see that post :)
