Nathan is in Cubbies this year in Awana. It's our church's wednesday night program for kids ages 2-5th grade. I direct the Sparks club (K-2nd grade), but I went downstairs to visit Nathan in his Cubbies class last week... it was crazy hair night, and I wanted to take some pics of him.
I wasn't sure how Nathan would respond to having his hair colored and messed up. But I knew he'd ADORE getting to wear a headband to church... lol And, turns out, he thought the green hairspray was pretty awesome, too!
Here he is in Cubbies class, making a star gazer with a friend.

Oh, and nathan earned his Cubbie vest that night, too!

The preschoolers have to recite simplified Bible verses... and if you know Nathan well, you know how hard that is for him. But he's been making a very good attempt at it every week, and usually gets at least a few of the words out each week - even if the rest come out as "da" - but his leaders are awesome and he responds so well to them. Nathan LOVES Cubbies!
