First 2nd Birthday Gift

When we got home from Awana last night, there was a surprise waiting in our mailbox for Faith! A first birthday present - from her great grandparents! Fittingly, she was wearing the dress Great Grand Mama gave her when she was born (something to grow into - and has she ever grown into it!). So, before heading to bath and bed, we let Faith open her gift.

And once opened, she exclaimed, "wow" as she discovered the pink tissue paper. hehe  I had to convince her it was OK to rip the paper, there's something inside it.

And Nathan, ever the helpful big brother, was happy to assist her.

More, and bigger, "Wow!"s came from Faith as she found what was inside.
But what was it? I'm not sure she cared too much, she liked the little girls print and knew it must be somethign to wear. Even if it wasn't, she knew it was fabric and so somehow, some way, she WOULD wear it. lol  That girl loves to put anything and everything on her little body :)

But it was something to wear - a pretty dress with "Princess" embroidered on the front.
I showed Faith how to hold the dress up, so I could take a picture.
But she gave me a dirty look - I knew she wanted to put it on, not hold it up!
So, she put it on:

"Look at me!" is what she seemed to say, once her new dress was on.

She LOVES the dress, and wanted to wear it to bed last night - but instead we hung it up so that she can wear it on Saturday to her birthday party. Though we'll slip a t-shirt on underneath and maybe even a pair of tights since it just might be cool that day - yay! But the dress is big enough, and flexible enough, that she can wear it this winter, and probably well into summer & fall next year, too. And, also important to Faith - it goes well with her favorite shoes... her cowboy boots ;-)

THANK YOU GREAT GRAND MAMA & GRAND PAPA!
You know your great grandaughter well - she loves her new dress!
