HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!

So what are you thankful for? I'm thankful for an incredible God who has made my last 12 months the hardest and most wonderful year ever. Its hard to believe that just a year ago Nathan was the size of a pea inside me, still being fearfully and wonderfully knitted together by our Lord. Now he's a healthy, hefty 20 pounder who has stolen the show at Thanksgiving this year!

We're in Arizona for Thanksgiving this year, visiting my brother and sister. Mary moved out to the Pheonix area about two years ago, to help start a church plant. David followed a year later when he fell in love with the area, after he got out of the army. We've never been to visit, so this year we flew here, allong with my parents, too. I don't think we've all been together since thanksgiving last year.

I'll post some pictures of the area later. So far I haven't gotten many because of the rain. I know... rain in AZ!?!?! Well, it wouldn't be a Taylor family vacation without rain... Here's the view outside our rental home, though. This is house rock. Don't let the grass fool you. Its a golf course. There really isn't much grass out here - outside the golf course. What a cool view, though!

Neither Mary or David had been able to meet their nephew until this week. He already has them wrapped around his little finger! Uncle David met him last night, and Nathan was immediately taken by his bald head & goofy expressions!

Auntie M (what Mary insists on being called) met Nathan Tuesday afternoon - but I didn't get a picture of their first meeting. Here she is, with Uncle David insisting on being in the shot.

Nathan has loved all the new things to see and do. He LOVED the airport. He did great on the plane rides. He loves the new scenery. In fact he won't eat regularly because he'd rather be looking around and watching all his new friends. But even with all the excitement, I think I know what Nathan is most thankful for on his first Thanksgiving - lots of time with his Daddy!
