We're back from Faith's cardiologist appointment and only have good news to share!
Faith's Holter monitor showed that she has an extra heart beart and pauses. The doctor said, out of every 10,000 beats, it happens less than 300 times. And the Echocardiogram showed completely normal working arteries and valves and no signs of a murmur. He diagnosed the arrhythmia as PAC - or premature atrial contraction, with pauses. It is even less to worry about than what they thought she had while she was in the hospital (PVC - premature ventricular contraction). He said to get it as an adult, it's more serious than to have it from birth. And he assured us it's nothing to worry about.
The cardiologist compared it to his own freckles. He said he has freckles and probably always will. He can go to the dermatologist to get that diagnosis and ensure they are just benign freckles. But once he knows they're just freckles, he doesn't need to go back to the dermatologist - unless they change.
He said we now have a diagnosis for Faith - PAC - and there's no need to worry or come back to see the cardiologist. Unless our regular doctor ever hears something new - which probably will never happen. He said he'd be more worried that his own freckles be life-threatening than her PAC!
Praise God for the answered prayer, and the knowledge that our little girl will be just fine! Thank you to all who prayed and encouraged us. And Mary Black Hospital labor & delivery staff, the Pediatric Associate doctors and the cardiologist from Pediactric Specialties at Mary Black.... I can't thank them enough. They are all beyond wonderful!

So thankful that Faith is okay. She is absolutely precious! I can't wait to meet her. By the way, I don't know what you have going on this Sunday, but I will be in Spartanburg - hint, hint. I can snap some pics if you are interested.
She is beautiful! God is good. Wonderful to hear she got a good report!
Well, you can just look at her and tell she's perfect! Glad to hear this great news.
