More than just a way to keep in touch with all our family and friends around the country - this blog has been a great way to keep track of my own kids stories, silliness, milestones, etc. Especially since I've yet to even purchase a babybook for Faith and Nathan's has sadly been ignored.
What I haven't been as good at, is using this blog to share my faith with family, friends, and the random visitor from anywhere in the world who googled something strange and ended up here. But the truth is, if it weren't for my faith - for my mighty, loving, unchanging, merciful and gracious God, I wouldn't be where I am and my family wouldn't be like it is.
God has done so many mighty works in my life - providing forgiveness, grace, guidance, peace, wisdom, opportunities and a million more things that I could never have the time or words to share or thank Him for. Just in the last 2 years alone, while this blog has been around, He performed miracles with the births of our children - Nathan and Faith. And even in the midst of heart problem scares, He kept us calm and reminded us He was in control. He provided us with a house - our first. And then a year later, He provided Jacob with an incredible job opportunity in TX. There was the fire/explosion He saved Nathan & from. The trips around the country to visit family in AZ, TX, OH, PA & MD. The way He worked in me to mold me and use me in ministry. The way He's grown our family closer together and given us even small blessings daily - dozens of them each day.
My God is awesome. I know He's still working on me. Still working on my family. Still planning big things for our future that He's yet to tell us about. Still growing us. Still using us. And I'm still trusting Him and Him alone. His grace has never steered me wrong in the past and it never will in the future. I can't wait to see what things, stories, blessings and growth-opportunities He brings our way that I can share in the next 100, 200, 300, 400+ posts to this blog. I want to be more intentional about not only sharing my faith but be intentional about making witnessing a natural habit, a reflex for lack of better word, I do because it's part of who I am.
Sorry there's no recent photo for today, but here are a few "biggies" from our last 400 posts :)
Our first house - in Spartanburg, SC. Wanna buy it?? It's for sale! 4 bedroom, 2 1/2 bath, with a basement, and rec room - just $94,900 - you know you want it :)
Then there's the story that started the blog... Nathan was born almost 2 years ago. It's hard to remember him being this little - God has certainly allowed him to grow up healthy & strong! :)
