Dynamoze

Wednesday, the kids and I headed out to a place called Dynamoze. It's another indoor playplace for kids - this one seemed geared almost exclusively for toddlers and babies - with a few things to keep older siblings happy, too. It was an awesome place! We joined 30+ other moms and their kids from a group I found on meetup.com, in hopes of not only getting out of the house, but meeting some people too!

Faith had no problem meeting people! Hanging out with other kids, climbing on other mom's laps, even "nursing" on other mom's legs. She's my little social butterfly!

Nathan much prefered to play on his own - and was quickly drawn the the trucks - and the "rollercoaster".

The "rollercoaster" was a riding toy on a plastic track, set up like a rollercoaster. He could ride that all day long - except he never fully grasped how to get the car back at the top of the ramp on his own. So without mommy's constant help, he was forced to check out other things to play with, too. There was plenty!

Faith loved the bouney infatables - Nathan wasn't too excited about them.

He wandered over to the corner to shoot some hoops quite often, though!

Faith loved playing with the ball when it came her way, too!

Then there was the remote controlled truck area - the trucks are behind a screen, and the remotes are tired down to a table. I don't think Nathan ever fully grasped how to control it - but from the moment he saw those remotes, he was in love. And he enjoyed pushing buttons and watching the truck move. He probably spent close to an hour playing with them - off an on throughout the morning. If he ever disappeared from sight, I knew just where to find him!

Faith played lots on the soft mats and tunnels!

Nathan enjoyed those, too - notice his hair sticking up from the static!
It was a fun morning, wearing the kids (and me!) out at Dynamoze, and meeting some other moms. I never had an instant connection with anyone... its hard when each mom is chasing 1-2 little kids all around the huge room full of toys. A quick "Hi, what a cute kid you have" and you're off to follow your own wild child. But I'll keep up with this mom's playgroup and I know, in time, we'll make some great connections with other moms and kids.
