Play Date

Tuesday morning, the kids & I met up with some other moms of babies & toddlers at a local community pool. The host mom's housing development has the best community pool!!! It's like a mini-waterpark. It was really nice. And the weather was nice, too - about 85. To sweeten the deal, we got to meet some new people and have a fun morning out of the house.

With a baby and a toddler by myself, I couldn't really take many photos of the kids in the water. At least not safely! But I snapped a few near the end of our morning out.

Nathan wasn't too sure of the pool at first. It was only 1-foot deep, but all the kids playing and all the water spouts, had him a little attached to mommy for a while. Eventually he warmed up to the idea of playing in the pool by himself.

He especially liked to steal other kids' toys... ones that had been abandoned. That is. He had fun with buckets and the shovel, throwing water in the air.

And after a quick nap in the stroller, Faith enjoyed peaking out the back at her big brother, splashing around in the pool - which she much prefered to stay away from. She hates water. But she was content sitting on my knee in it, if I got in, too.

We all had fun at the community pool - and it wore at least one little boy out, who took a good nap Tuesday afternoon :)

Wow, that is an awesome pool! And that's in your neighborhood?
