Super Foods

I realize the term "super food" usually refers to ultra healthy foods. But... well... this is TEXAS. And while family visited over New Years, we had a few of the area's super foods.

Uncle Dave treated us all to a super giant pizza from Big Lou's Pizza.
The largest carry out size is a 37'', which requires a pick-up truck to take home.

Mary & Kristen posing with giant slices of sausage & pepperoni pizza;
slices that were bigger than their heads.

And bigger than newborn Ruth's entire body!

Nathan posed with a slice.

But Faith wanted nothing to do with the pizza...

...until it was time to EAT IT! Then she didn't complain :)

The pizza takes up most of our table, and everyone enjoyed a slice... or two.
With leftovers for breakfast & lunch the next day, too.

On their cross-country trip from Arizona, Dave & Kristen stopped in Austin, TX to visit a friend. And they picked up a couple donuts from Round Rock Donuts - a place that cuts their donuts to shape using a 5 gallon bucket! They brought a couple to our house to share - and so Auntie M could experience them, too - since she'd been wanting to, but had yet to see one.

And there's Aunt Kristen, too.

The kids didn't pose with the donut this time (they did last time we went to Round Rock),
but they sure did enjoy EATING the donuts. :)
