Deer Park

Monday we drove to Jamestown, PA to visit Pymatuning Deer Park. For those local in SC, it was kind of like Hollywild. Only nicer. There were lots of great animals to see and feed! We all enjoyed it - especially Nathan!

Nathan thought the deer were funny!

He wasn't sure what to make of the goat that kept trying to lick him!

There were zebras to see!

And camels to feed!

After watching Granny feed the camel, Nathan gave it a try. He surprised us all with how well he did - the biscuit went straight to the camel, not in his own mouth! And he wasn't afraid to get his fingers close. From then on, we let him feed all the animals.

Our family - one day soon we'll have that little girl!

Nathan got eaten by a lion - oh no!

We saw big black bears!

Nathan thought they were great - and stinky.

We fed the deer.

And he & Granny fed the big hairy thing... a yak? buffalo?? Anyone know?

We fed more goats! These ones weren't so interested in licking Nathan's face!

And then we got to hold the baby chick!

Don't worry, no chicks we're harmed. Although we all had to wonder how they survive with so many kids handling them every day. Nathan thought it was pretty cool.

Our day at Deer Park was a blast - thank you Granny & Pa for taking us!
