Surprise

I've learned as I get older, I'm not the biggest fan of surprises. Especially not the kind Nathan gives me. Case in point... nap time today...

By the time we got out of sports camp to get home for a nap, it was 1:45. He naps at least 3 hours a day. So he shouldn't have stirred till 4:30/5:00. At 3:15, he starts waking. I wait it out; he's got to put himself back to sleep. By 3:30, his cries are louder and it's obvious he's not going to sleep. So I go get him. And SURPRISE. Look what I found.

Need a closer look??

Closer still????

It was even on the floor in a number of spots. Yes... I stepped in it. Barefoot. Another surprise. So pleasant...

Those aren't specks on your screen. No, poop was ALL over him. Up his back. On his neck. In one ear. Everywhere.

I cleaned Nathan & the carpet. But I've still yet to touch that crib. Do you think I could claim pregnancy nausea and get Gramma to come over??? :)

It's amazing that that much poo could come out of a person that small.

Hey, Sara ... wait until you see you nephew. He is anything but small :-) But, I agree, that still is alot of poop for a 1-yr old. Be greatful, Kim, that this didn't happen on your way up to Ohio!!
The only thing that would have been worse is if he pulled an "Uncle Dave" and tried to eat it as well.
We won't be down until mid-Aug. Hopefully, you will find an opportunity to clean the mess up before we get there.

Oh WOW....my first reaction was "all that came out of him?" LOL. The joys of motherhood lol. It's amazing though how you love them so much that this or even soemthing worse doesn't stop you from loving them. I am taking notes lol. He is such a cutie with a face like that he could prob get away with it anywhere:D
