Pymatuning Lake

Down the road from Deer Park is Pymatuning Lake and the infamous spillway. According to one online article, it's one of the most visited spots in all of Pennsylvania. Second only to the Liberty Bell. Hmm... I'm not sure if that's true... But it sure is something to see! You'll never see so many fish in one spot, that's for sure!

Think that's a lot of carp?? Keep walking down the sidewalk, and there are MANY more. People throw bread at them and watch them fight for it. It's pretty amazing.

When you get to the spillway, there are literally thousands in there. I was feeling frustrated for the poor fish, watching them try to swim over each other to get the bread. Can you imagine life like that? As Jacob said, "it's a good thing they have small brains." Pa tried taunting them to fall over the spillway, into the mass of carp below - but he was unsuccessful.

"FEED ME!" Those mouths are something!

After Deer Park, Nathan was in the mood to share food and help feed the carp. He did really good throwing the bread over the railing to the fish.

And into the spillway, too!

Snuggle time with Daddy

Nathan sure adores his Daddy!

Hanging out with Granny & Pa

Granny is pretty great for snuggling with, too!

Here's a video of the fish in action. If you're reading this via email, remember you need to go to the actual blog to see the video.
