Bye Bye Shaggy Dog

I know I've posted at least a half dozen times this weekend. Don't get use to it, I've just finally had some time to catch up a bit. And this weekend we also finally found time to do something I'd been wanting to do for a few months... get Nathan his first hair cut!

If you've seem him recently, you know how bad he needed it! He looked like shaggy dog. But it wasn't enough hair to go to a hair cutter. I thought I'd give it a try myself. But his wiggles made that a scary venture. After cutting two snips myself, we agreed that clippers would be so much easier. And a good investment in the future. So Daddy & Nathan headed out to Walmart in search of a set. Then it was back home, sitting in the bumbo seat (to attempt to keep from running around - the high chair's back was too high for this task). We kept feeding him cheez doodles to help keep him still. But even those didn't work. He wasn't upset - he wanted to see what was going on behind his head! So Daddy held him down good!

And baby sister, Faith, watched on from the sidelines.

Once he realized Daddy was just not going to let him see what was going on back there, he settled down and enjoyed his snack - and all the attention.

And in the end I realized there really was a lot of hair that needed trimmed!

And now we have an even cuter boy, with a much cleaner haircut (and new cow licks we've discovered in the process, too)!
