We're in Maryland, visiting Gramma & Grampa (Kim's family). Uncle David & Auntie M are in from Arizona, too. It's the first time in 4 years our whole family has been together on Christmas Day. And the first time in 7 years that the Baltimore area has had a white Christmas. They got 20.5 inches of snow last week! And there's still plenty of it left for us to play in!!
This is my parent's deck table... they never took the snow off so we could all see how much they got! A LOT!
What to do with all that snow?!! SLED of course! Jacob took Nathan out for what we were sure he would absolutely love - sledding downhill with Daddy. But he hated it. Cried and screamed most of the time. We thought he'd eventually like it. After 4 trips down the little hill, we headed inside. Maybe it was the fact that he only slept 7 hours the night before... and took only a 1 hour nap (in the truck) the day before... and that it was close to nap time that day, too. As it was, he took a 5 hour nap! So we'll hope it was tiredness that made him cranky and not snow. We'll get out in the snow at least once more before heading to OH - where I'm sure there's snow too.
We had no sled, but Jacob found the snow shovel worked just fine.
At least Jacob was enjoying the sledding trips!
