Granny helped Nathan open his first true Christmas present. And Nathan did a good job helping to pull the wrapping off.
At least until the wrapping reached his mouth... then he was more interested in eating it than finishing the unwrapping.
He loved his gift though! Even though it didn't fit in his mouth very well! Now he has his very own cassette/CD player to listen to his Daddy's old Bible story cassettes that Granny also gave us.
Aunt Sara gave Nathan some pretty cool clothes that are actually too big - so he can grow into them!
And Uncle Jr gave Nathan his very first cow! Nathan loved sitting on it and laying on it... but especially trying to eat it (surprised?).
Granny gave Nathan his first set of mittens and a knit hat that fits much better than his old one. Guess where those mittens went first? Yup - in the mouth! That's Nathan's way of saying "I love it!"
And more clothes from Granny & Pa! Nathan was loving it!
Check out his new construction equipment shirt. Pretty cool! I think Daddy was jealous!
And his very first turtle neck! He loves it, can't you see?
Nathan even got toys to
Wow - spiffy new clothes from Great Aunt Helen & Uncle Mike! THANK YOU!! Notice the look in Nathan's eyes... "where's the toys and why aren't those closer to my mouth?"
And a great new book from Great Aunt Helen & Uncle Mike, too! We read it one night... at midnight when Nathan wouldn't sleep.
And a cool rattling teddy bear from Mr. David R.! THANK YOU! Nathan says it's yummy!
Gramma gave Nathan an ornament, too! It says "this is a gift from God." That's what Nathan's name means... "gift from God". And that's what Christmas is all about - God's gift to us, of Jesus! Nathan already has an ornament collection started! Thank you, Gramma & Grandpa!
Mr. & Mrs. Reeves sent clothes, too! Nathan loved them - and especially the ribbon they were wrapped in!
Even Daddy got Nathan some new clothes!
But Nathan's favorite gift, by far, was a gift from his Granny... a singing & dancing puppy. He was mesmerized! He wanted (and still wants) to hear it over and over again. Its one of the few things that will calm him down at the moment since he doesn't feel well... still.
Here's a little video of him loving on his puppy when we got home:
Granny & Pa got the big kids stockings, too! And Jacob decided to have some fun with them...
Then later that day, Granny & Sara made an awesome Christmas dinner and Jacob carved the turkey. Turkeys are the best for carving turkeys, after all ;-) hehehe
We hope your Christmas Day was wonderful, filled with family, Christ's love, memories and joy, too!
