I Jinxed Myself...

Monday I posted 10 lessons from Mommyhood... and #4 was Moms don't get sick. I jinxed myself. Tuesday morning, I woke up with a head cold. It got worse on Wednesday and then better by Friday morning. It could have been a lot worse. I never got a fever or body aches. Just a stuffy head.

At 1:30am this morning, Nathan woke up crying - all stuffy. He got it. Poor thing! He's doing ok now - its just hard for him to sleep.

Then... this morning at 6:30am... it hit me. The other virus going around. Two sicknesses in one week. Lucky me. I guess it was only a matter of time. I somehow managed to avoid it when my entire extended family had it over Thanksgiving weekend and the week after. But now it seems that every family in the church has been hit by it, one by one. I guess it was only a matter of time. Its just after 10am now... after 4 hours of running to the bathroom, it finally came up the other end. Gross. But my stomache feels better - at least enough to blog!

As much as it stinks to have this virus on a Saturday, I'm thankful that its a day Jacob is home. Can I just tell everyone what an incredible husband I have! While I have felt icky and worked more than normal this past week, he's kept our house from utter disaster and got up with Nathan in the early morning hours when needed, so that I could rest and get over the cold. And while hovering over a bowl just a little while ago, I heard him playing with Nathan and had to smile even though I felt like I do. He's the best father! And the greatest husband! And the most amazing friend! God seriously blessed me when He let our paths cross almost 3 years ago. THANK YOU FOR BEING SO AWESOME, JACOB!
