My friend, Stacy, participates in this game each week. MckMama started it - her blog is addicting, but her story is miraculous! I've enjoyed reading "Not Me! Mondays" from others... I think this week of all weeks is the ideal time to start it myself. Or at least try it once...
What is it? Its a chance to confess all the silly/embarassing/funny things I've done in the last week... so here goes:
* I did not forget Nathan's infant car seat today and end up forced to carry him through Bi Lo. My arms did not get tired from his almost 22lb body. And I certainly did not prop him up in the cart with a package of maxi pads. Nope, not I.
* I did not lock my son in the van today for the second time in less than a month!! I never shared... but on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving, I locked him in the van - while he was screaming! Super Music Minister, Brian, and side-kick, Asheton, came flying to the rescue. Brian climbed through the back window he was able to pry open. So I certainly would never be so silly as to lock Nathan in the van again! Nope. I didn't lock the keys to the van/house inside the house this afternoon while Nathan was locked in the van. Uh uh. I'm a good Mom. Good Mom's don't do that. But if I had done that, at least I now have the keyless entry memorized so Nathan wouldn't stay locked in the van alone. And I would have found a way to get back into my house to retreive the keys.
* I did not wait till 3 days before Christmas to start working on Christmas cards. Nope, I'm on top of things.
* I did not try to set my house on fire last Thursday with the grill. Nope. But if I had, I would have blogged about it.
* I did not cover my living room with confetti and make my son cry when Jacob found out he passed his professional engineer exam. I would have blogged about that, too.
* I did not lay my son on a chair, unattended, so I could pee this afternoon when no one was around to hold him. And I did not watch as he fell - only to be caught in the nick of time. I'm much more responsible than that.
* I did not forget about my son's diaper this morning and leave him in one diaper for 4 hours, only to wet through it and soak a church exersaucer, too. And if I had, I certainly did not forget to pack extra socks... or even forget his pacifier at home, too. Cause then I would have had to go home before his doctor's appointment to get those things, and I would have locked my keys in the house while my son was locked in the van. So nope, I didn't do that.
* But I did take my son to the doctor and found out he has an ear infection... and he's 21lb, 12oz! He also might have reflux. So we got prescriptions for those things. We'll try the antibiotic first. If that doesn't help him start sleeping again, we'll try the zantac.
* But on the way home from the doctor's, I did not stop at Krispy Kreme and end up eating a kreme filled donut for lunch. Nope, I only set healthy eating habits for my son.
* I did not come home to find a package from my mother with gifts for Nathan. I did not think the unwrapped outfits were cute and most certainly did not consider opening a wrapped gift and then letting my "Christmas-gifts-can-only-be-opened-Dec-25" husband think they were unwrapped :)
and finally...
* I was not just blogging when I should have been cleaning, doing laundry and packing for our Christmas trip to Anderson with Jacob's family. They start coming into town tomorrow night. I wouldn't be blogging when there was so much else to do... no...

Oh too funny!!! Your week sounds very interesting. :)
I'm going to have to try one of these soon - they're way too entertaining!!
LOVED the proping up w/ Maxi pads..lol... Quick advice to ya..get a diaper bag you are not using put in diapers, wipes, change of clothes and anything else and leave it in your car at all times... We had to do this cause I was always forgetting stuff and it was so nice to know it was there... And are you always losing your key??? How many times have we had to search for them in the CLC on Wednesday nights..lol... You are a great mom and Nathan is lucky to live a life of adventures...
HILARIOUS! You're a GREAT blogger.
