I guess when you spend half the weekend in bed and at the mercy of the toilet bowl, the weekend tends to disappear. I feel SOO much better. Saturday was misery. After I wrote Saturday's blog, my fever began and I only got sicker and sicker. If you haven't had the stomach virus yet - I pray that you can avoid it! Even though it seems to be taking on everyone in its path... But it really does only last 24-30 hours... of pure misery! Oh, how thankful I am that its over! Now if I could just get the smell of vomit out of my head...
Nathan grew in the day I didn't see him! His face changed in just a day! He amazes me! I missed him this weekend. But he truly loved his daddy time! They went to all the big boy stores to get out of the house and giggled their way through the weekend.
And I'm so thankful that I got sick Saturday and not Friday. Friday night was our volunteer Christmas party. It was a blast. We got to spend it with the greatest people ever, great food and an awesome comedian for entertainment. Here's a video we put together to share, too:
And then I was healthy enough to sit through the kids musical Christmas at Belthehem Gulch this evening, too. The kids (2nd-4th graders) did a great job. So I guess if I had to get sick, the timing was good... now I pray Nathan avoids it!
