Easter Egg Dying

Back at Easter time (I know, I'm behind!), the kids and I dyed eggs.

We tried using kool-aid instead of a dye kit. It worked pretty good! Well, except for yellow. But we found a second in the orange kool-aid made a good looking yellow. Which made Nathan happy :)

I'd read that a good idea for helping kids dip eggs in dye, is to use a wire whisk. Put the egg inside it and then you don't have to mess with spoons. Good idea, in principle. Our kids decided the whisks worked much better for sword fighting... ha And as far as using them to dye?? They were just too much hassle.

Ruth & Daddy spent some quality time watching the kids put stickers on their eggs and dye them.

When the eggs were done, they looked great.
The kids did well decorating, multi-coloring, and designing their eggs :)
