Chocolate Snuggle Bunny

My mom stayed with us for the last week. For those that don't know, she had a hematoma (from a combination of a bad fall and a plane ride 4 days later). She had surgery the morning after arriving in San Antonio. And was released from the hospital 3 days later - the day after her scheduled flight home. So Grampa left us on Sunday to return home and help run my Gramma's business. And Gramma listened to doctor's orders and stayed in San Antonio for another 6 days, instead of flying home. She got to rest, keep her leg up and enjoy lots and lots of grand-kid-therapy! Including snuggling with our lovable 2 year old, Nathan.

After nap time, Nathan loves to snuggle. He comes out of his room, peaks around the corner to make sure it's ok to get up. And then bounces down the hallway, arms full of his favorite stuffed toys.

Last week he often went running straight for Gramma, who was often laying on the loveseat, with her foot propped up. I know she often felt trapped and bored, stuck on the couch. But Nathan LOVED waking up to his Gramma's smile! And apparently, so did his stuffed animals. One day he dropped them all off with her for safe keeping, then headed off to find his trains! And yes... only two of those stuffed animals are his (Teddy & Scout), he's stolen his sister's purple stuffed dog (Violet). He loves stealing his sister's toys almost as much as he loves stealing his Gramma's heart!
After nap time, Gramma often made Nathan a special treat - chocolate milkshakes to share with his Gramma! Oh he loved it!

But I think he loves his Gramma much much more!

We love you Gramma!! Thank you for staying with us for the week and letting the kids spoil you some this time! Get better soon!
