On the Riverwalk with Mary

Monday morning, the kids and I took Mary downtown to the Riverwalk. It was very humid, and the Riverwalk isn't 100% stroller friendly at the moment, with a few broken elevators, so we opted just to take the riverboat tour of the Riverwalk.

I know, I was just on that tour a little over a week ago, with my mom. If you missed that post, you can read it HERE. Well, this time we may have seen the same sights, but we had new company and I learned a few new things.

Granted some of the things we saw we're slightly frightening... hehe

Nathan enjoyed seeing all the sights

Like this bar, directly across the river from the restaurant where we took both Gramma & Grampa for dinner on the Riverwalk... and yet I never noticed this... until the boat driver pointed it out. Do you see it??? That tree - it's growing directly through the wall of the place!! How cool is that? Sorry the photo is blurry, I had "help" taking the photo as we rode by the place. "Help" from Faith.

Then there's this building... does it look like a straight wall with no sides? How is is standing? It's just an optical illusion, thanks to a creative architect who used some sharp angles in the design of the building's corners.

And then we saw something I'd never seen on another tour!

Our tour guide lost his headset on the tour previous to ours... and his quick eye's spotted it hanging from a lemon tree by the mall, along the river!! Can you see it? His sharp eyes saved him from having to purchase another one. And made for a funny photo opp.

There was lots to see, but I, personally, loved watching Faith look out over the boat. I love those curls in the back of her hair... I hope they stay as she grows!

Here's Auntie M with her niece & nephew

She certainly is well loved by them (and me!)
