Family Fun Night

The church we've attended for the last few weeks, had a Family Fun Night this past Wednesday. It was a water fun night - they had hot dogs, nachos, and lots of water fun. They had a dozen or so kiddie pools set up around the grounds for all the little kids (which appear to far out number the older age groups). They had an inflatable slip'n'slide for the older kids. And inside, they had crafts and even Bingo for seniors, too. It was neat to see a family fun night that involved all the age groups of the church. And the kids LOVED it.

Even Faith, little Miss-I-hate-water, squeeled with joy from the moment I set her in the kiddie pool - and she happily splashed the night away. She smiled a ton, but never when I had the camera in my hands.

There were lots of water toys, and Nathan soon realized that there were more ball-pit-like balls in the other kiddie pools. So he'd occassionally run off to another pool and he always came back with one or two more red balls - and a giant smile. He'd found more of his favorite color ;-)

Nathan had a Fla-Vor-Ice for the first time - something he loved, but didn't quit understand how to eat without help. Maybe his great grandfather can help him out next time we're in PA/OH - I understand they're a favorite of his, too ;-)

Faith just watched in wonder as her brother - and strangers - ate their frozen treats. Maybe she wanted her chest and belly to get covered with the same sticky orange juice that was slowly covering her brother! But I think she was thinking about making her own mess... and it wouldn't be orange...

After dinner & dessert... Faith proved her daddy wrong.
P-O-O-L does not start with a "P", as Jacob believes.
It starts with "P-O-O"
Uh huh... and swim diapers don't hold in loose poo!
This picture was taken before she took a dump in the kiddie pool....

Unfortunately, this photo was taken after... uh huh... gross.
He wouldn't get out - so I got the camera. Maybe one day in the future, I can use this photo of him laying in poopie water, to teach him how he needs to listen to his mommy the first time.

Needless to say, we went home, and didn't get 5 feet in the door before both kids were in the bathtub! With clean, soapy water! No P-O-O-L water that time ;-)
