Riverwalk

Last Monday, Jacob had the day off, and the weather was nice - so we opted to go for a walk along the Riverwalk. A place we'd last been 2 years ago, when Jacob's sister, Sara, got married. A place we never thought we'd be back to... certainly never thought we'd live within 25 minutes of. God had other plans :) And His plans are always better than ours - we're thankful for how He is providing for our family, and for the opportunity to take a nice walk and enjoy some of His creation (and a lot of man-made stuff, too) together.

Jacob showed Nathan it was ok to play a little in the water.

And Nathan thought that was pretty cool!

He mostly enjoyed walking along, holding his Daddy's hand.
He did a LOT of walking, and lots of stairs, too. What a big boy!

And what a gorgeous sister he has :)

We took a moment to take some photos in the same flower bed Aunt Sara had some of her wedding photos taken in. Who would have imagined, 2 years ago, that Aunt Sara would have such a beautiful niece to share her photo spot with ;-)

And then Nathan posed with Daddy in front of the wedding island, where Josiah & Sara's wedding ceremony took place.

We also go to see some squirrels.

And lots of ducks - which we allowed Nathan to feed, before we saw signs that said "Don't feed the ducks" Ooops. Well, they probably greatly enjoyed the cheerio treat ;-)

There was even a Momma duck with her itty bitty babies!
It was a fun morning on the San Antonio Riverwalk.
Next time we go, maybe we'll get to take some family or friends who
are visiting... hint hint hint - YOU could come visit us ;-)
